HAROLD AND MAUDE (1971)

I loved this movie and was surprised to find it very sensual. In the first 10 minutes or so I thought that I was going to hate it. It starts with a teenage boy always pretending to commit suicide and I thought I was in for a depressing movie.  I loved the development of the relationship between Harold and Maude. If anyone were to tell me that I would watch a movie where a teenage boy would have sex with a woman in her 70s and think it was charming, I would have laughed. I loved how Maude taught Harold to live life to the fullest. I also noticed that throughout the movie there were splashes of the color yellow in different places.  My son, who is in film school, would tell me that there is some significance to it.  What I know is that it made me happy.  I would definitely watch this again and definitely found it sensual.
