IL POSTINO (1994)

I think I’ve warmed up to films with subtitles. It’s not my favorite thing but I’ve seen so many foreign films that I’ve liked that now I kind of look forward to them. I really enjoyed this movie. The scenery in Italy was beautiful. It looks like such a romantic place. I really liked the development of the relationship between Mario and Pablo and how they touched each others lives. I liked the scene when Mario and Beatrice first kissed. I’m sorry there weren’t more scenes like that one. Although the ending felt sad to me, I still found the movie to be uplifting. Because of the sad ending and the lack of romance between Mario and Beatrice after they got married, this is not a sensual pick for me.
