The Year of Living Dangerously, in spite of its harshness in terms of its horrifying political setting, is sensual for me. Mel Gibson and Sigourney Weaver are young and beautiful, and they make a great pair physically. It was just great watching them…and watching them fall in love. I really enjoyed Mel Gibson with his Australian accent and the relaxed, more natural demeanor he had before he "learned" to act. The scene in the car when he is driving and she is kissing him is great.
