TWO MOON JUNCTION (1988)

Um…ahem. This one was especially disappointing for me because I have to admit that it entails one of my favorite fantasies: rough and ready meets refined but wanting. But to enjoy this version at even the most basic level (and I mean BASIC), you have to find the main attraction attractive and, to put it mildly, I don’t! Just the hair alone turns me off. A strange mixture of Chippendales meet “Dallas,” this movie has enough of a plot and focus on the woman to make you think the movie was made for women but there are so many boob shots and a weird out-of-place storyline that suggests lesbianism that you think it had to have been made for men. Not sure who it was made for but not me! From the director of “Wild Orchids” and “Red Shoe Diaries,” so if that’s your cup of tea, have at it! Sexual? Yes! Sensual? No!
